Preparing and
drinking tea is very usual in human life. But, there is a chemical engineering
principle behind this process. That process is called LEACHING.
Leaching is the process of a solute becoming
detached or extracted from its carrier substance by way of a solvent.
As per the above
definition, the milk or water used will act as a solvent (liquid) and the tea
maker will act as a solute (solid). Thus the solvent gets heated and when this
hot solvent passed over the solute then its extract the properties of that
solute (leaching).
A process engineer
means not only handling the concentrated chemicals even a well-known tea maker
is a better example of process engineer in leaching process.
